This is a pepper mill made to look like an antique grinder. The wood is Maple that was electrified by a process called lichtenberg. This takes longer because it is first turned and sanded like any peppermill, however then we soak it in a backing soda solution and we run electricity through the wood. Then we have to bleach the wood (the baking soda changes the color of the wood), and dry it all over again. Then sand and finish the product. Due to the process it costs a bit more than a usual peppermill.
